Cinematographer Production Journal: Curse of the Butterfinger

Summary

During this film my main job was handling the camera and lighting in each shot, and creating the mise-en-scene that the director and in agreed on in pre-production. I also chose camera angles and framing to convey the emotions our team wanted to push through.

Camera Evidence

For this film we used one Canon T3i, and set up lighting inside or outside according to what looked best on that camera

Shot Choice Justification

this film was meant to have a lot of emotion behind it, as it was kind of a tragedy, so I had to use dramatic shots to effectively convey this.

This shot was right after he got covered with butter, which was the beginning of the bad things. Also, he was watching something on the computer that made him mad. I used a low angle with only his eyes showing to make him appear angry
